The Zo’é first met outsiders in 1987, when evangelical missionaries made contact. Decimated by disease soon after, their numbers are now growing again.
But they are still a very vulnerable tribe. Invaders are closing in on their land: nut gatherers, goldminers, missionaries and hunters periodically approach, and the soya frontier is getting ever closer.
Your letter really can make a difference to the Zo’é of Brazil.
Write a letter (in Portuguese, English or your own language) to the Brazilian Minister of Justice expressing your concern about invaders approaching the Zo’é’s territory.
